I woke up with a hangover.

After dropping off Camilla, I had seen myself home and then proceeded to drown myself in whiskey so I did not think about how hurt she had been and how she had refused to look in my direction when I dropped her off.

She was right and she was wrong.

She wasn’t a liability… far from it.

I wanted her out of the picture because I needed to do what needs to be done and I did not want to have to think about keeping her safe and also because I was afraid of everything in my life just being a total sham.

That is exactly what it had been with Eleanor and for the extra year I lived with her, I wondered where I had gone wrong and how I could get what it was we shared back… it had been a mistake.
