Anna's POV

I could feel the tension in the air as Victor and I sat in the opulent living room of our penthouse. It was a tranquil evening, the city lights twinkling in the distance, but the calm was shattered by a knock at the door. I glanced at Victor, a flicker of concern in my eyes, as he rose from his seat and moved towards the entrance.

He opened the door to reveal a man standing in the hallway, his face partially obscured by the shadow of his hat. The stranger exuded an air of mystery, his presence sending a chill down my spine. I stood up, my eyes fixed on him as he stepped into the room, his gaze never leaving Victor.

"Victor Blackwood," the stranger began, his voice low and commanding. "I believe we have some unfinished business."

Victor's expression remained impassive, but I could sense a flicker of recognition in his eyes. "Who are you?" he asked, his voice tinged with caution.

The stranger removed his hat, revealing a face etched with years of secrecy and hidden knowledge.
