Chapter 11: Bad Dream

As I picked up my phone, I got disappointed as the caller was not Angela.

So, letting out a deep sigh, I pressed the answer button.

“Hello, Mom?” I mumbled. Then, I bit my lower lip as I recalled what happened yesterday at the event. Good thing, there were no more visitors when I passed out.

‘What a shame!’ I thought as I felt embarrassed about what I did.

“Angela, how do you feel today?” Sarah asked worriedly on the other end of the line.

“I’m okay, mom. I’m sorry about yesterday. I didn’t mean to–” I apologized but I was not able to finish my words as Sarah cut me off.

“No, dear. You don’t have to say sorry.” She countered.

“But mom–” I would insist but again, she didn’t let me finish my words.

“It was me who should apologize, Angela. I supposed you were shocked and anxious about the honeymoon thing. That’s why you drank a lot. So, I’m sorry, if we haven’t informed you about it.”
