CHAPTER TWENTY TWO

Amelia’s mother was two things; a man magnet and the most frivolous woman that existed on the planet and so you could imagine her disappointment when she fell pregnant for a certain Mr Fallon with absolutely nothing to offer her. She had had no choice but to be his wife and when the time came, she gave birth to his son who died and then a daughter that she had nothing in common with safe for the hair and eye color.

She of course had gone about her ways in having various men to do her bidding and even though her husband was aware of her many infidelities, he gave no indication of it which was all for the better because it was obvious that she wanted nothing from him but the pretense of marriage and the security that it offered.
