Chapter 149: Nearly Got Shot Once Again

As Doctor Francis approached Charlie Sr., he noticed the man's worried expression and heard him speak in a deep, troubled voice. "I'm afraid my wife is dying," Charlie Sr. said.

Doctor Francis was taken aback by the news, but before he could respond, he was ushered into a ward. There, he saw Margret Owen lying in a hospital bed. Acting quickly, he placed his stethoscope on her chest and listened intently. Relief flooded over him as he heard the sound of her breathing.

"Excuse me, Chairman Charlie, but I kindly request that you wait outside. We need to begin the treatment immediately," Doctor Francis informed Charlie Sr.

Charlie Sr. attempted to negotiate, asking "Is it not possible for me to remain here and wait?" However, Doctor Francis declined, stating firmly "I'm sorry, but your presence will be a distraction to us."

Charlie Sr. abandoned the notion of remaining and departed. He paced anxiously to and fro by the ward's entrance, while multiple nurses entered and exited the ward.
