Chapter 154: The Visitors

Tears streamed down her face despite her efforts to remain composed. The images she had witnessed kept flooding her mind, causing her to break down in sobs. Unaware of her surroundings, Margret stared blankly at the wall as her baby's cries filled the room.

Suddenly, the door opened, and Maggi entered with a smile. However, her joy quickly turned to concern when she saw Margret's distressed state and heard the baby's cries. She hurried over to the bed and picked up the infant.

"Aunty Margret!" Maggi called out, but there was no response.

Maggi raised her voice, "Aunty Margret!!"

Margret snapped out of her daze, looking around with confusion. She heard the baby crying and instinctively reached out for her child, who was no longer there.
