The both of them remained silent for some time before Millicent suggested, "Margret, the test isn't one hundred per cent sure, how about we go to the hospital?"
Margret eyes lit up, she sprang up on her feet and said anxiously.
"you are right, Millicent, we can't be too sure that the test is true, let's quickly head to the hospital"
Millicent sighed ruefully, she didn't expect Margret to buy such nonsense, Margret quickly dressed up, "Millicent, why are you still not ready? let's leave quickly"
Millicent looked at her strangely "you can't go out like this, what if paparazzi discover you again, we will be in deep trouble"
Margret looked at her and nodded "you are right, Millicent, I can't go out like this"
Millicent could see the sorrow beneath Margret's eyes, but she hid it well, the two of them disguised themselves and went to the hospital by public transport.
The moment the two of them arrived at the hospital, they went to the doctor's office, after a thorough test, both of them were asked to return after a few days.
Some days later, the two of them came back to the hospital and headed directly into the doctor's office.
"Miss Owen, there is a fifty per cent chance that you are pregnant," the doctor said.
His words were like a detonated bomb in Margret's ears, she opened and close her mouth. She was rendered speechless.
"Doctor, can you keep this matter confidential? I don't want anyone to know about her pregnancy" Millicent told the doctor.
The doctor shifted uncomfortably in his chair "of course, I will do just that"
Millicent and Margret left the doctor's office in a terrible mood, the moment they left, the doctor's phone rang.
"Madame Agnes, she is pregnant," he said into the phone's receiver.
"That lowlife isn't worthy of bearing my grandchildren, you know what to do, doctor, make sure an illegitimate daughter of the Owen family doesn't use her wild seed to get into my family"
"I will do just that, Madame Agnes"
Margret and Millicent were not aware of the phone call or the conversation, the two of them sat in the sitting room looking sad.
"Margret, are you planning to abort the child?" Millicent inquired the question she was itching to ask.
Margret rubbed her stomach unconsciously, she looked at Millicent with determination "I won't do that, Millicent, the child is innocent, my unborn child is not the one who hurt me, I can't harm an innocent child for doing me no wrong"
Millicent smiled widely "you are right, Margret, the child deserves to live"
A rare smile appeared on Margret's face, which stunned Millicent, she also smiled, praying secretly for her friend's happiness.
Nine Months later, Millicent took Margret to a private hospital.
"Millicent, do you think here is safe? and no one is going to know about it?" Margret asked nervously.
The hospital looked deserted, and it felt like a ghost town, just the way Margret instructed Millicent.
"I think this is the best place, I paid a lot of money to book the entire place, and also arrange a few doctors, the media haven't gotten a wind of it, let's go in, there is no need for you to worry" Millicent assured.
Margret nodded, the two of them entered the small hospital, and two doctors approached them.
"Miss Owen, and Miss Ferguson, you two are here?"
"umm..." Margret hummed and didn't say anything else, Margret was led away for check-ups, while Millicent was offered a seat to wait.
A faint smoke started coming from the pigeonhole, and Millicent dosed off.
Margret was quickly transported to the labour room.
Her heart skipped a beat, and she became tensed "what is going on?"
One of the men disguised as a doctor removed his nose mask and said sternly "cooperate with us Miss Owen, we don't have any intention of hurting you, if you refuse, your friend will die, and you won't be leaving here alive either"
Margret tensed up "please, Millicent has nothing to do with this, are you here to kill my unborn child?"
The men exchange glances and shook their heads, and one of them said coldly. "we are here to take away the child, and if you want to live, you have to agree with us, that you will leave Houston and never return, the life of your friend is involved, Miss Owen"
Tears slipped down Margret's eyes, "I agree" she said after taking a deep breath.
Margret was pushed into the labour room.
"Push Miss Owen, you are about to give birth to the baby"
Margret gritted her teeth and did as she was instructed, the cry of a baby rented the air.
One of the men retrieved the child "good, good, a baby boy"
"There is still a child" the doctor exclaimed in shock.
"No, not just one, it is two!"
Margret shut her eyes, her face was pale like a sheet, and her lips were dry. "can you at least keep the two babies, I promise never to appear in Houston in my entire life"
The men looked down at Margret, they talked amongst themselves "Miss Owen, we will hand over two of the triplets
to you, you have to cooperate with us, you are leaving Houston, tonight and never to return"Margret fainted in the process, she was unaware of what happened afterwards, when Millicent woke up, she discovered that the entire private hospital was empty.
"What is happening?" she mumbled.
She quickly regained her senses, and was alarmed that outside the hospital was dark, she quickly rushed towards the labour room.
"Margret!"
"Margret!!" she called out to her friend and pulled the labour's room door, and entered inside.
The entire place was deserted, and stained with blood, Millicent began to panic and search the entire place.
"Margret, where are you? I am sorry for leaving you all alone, please talk to me" she wailed.
"The police, the police" she mumbled incoherently, and dashed out to get her phone.
After Millicent called the police, she was taken to the police station for her report, in the end, the police promised her that they will look for her friend. Fifteen Years Later... The wind blew on Margret's face, she stood before the airport with her luggage, and two extremely eye-catching boys stood side by side. Some passerby took a sneak shot of her and her children, "mom, why are we still standing here, why ain't we moving our luggage?" Margret regained her senses. She had disguised herself judiciously, and over the years, she has grown her music career strong and has become an A-list celebrity. Even in her early thirties, she still looks like candy, and commands followers all over the world, she got a juicy offer from Houston from a renowned international company, so she decided to return home, and face her fear. She exhaled in relief, before boarding the plane with her sons. Nine hours later, the plane landed at Houston airport, the mother and son were leaving the airpor
The question made Charlie Jnr angrier, his frosty gaze lingering on Margret. Suddenly, a scream broke through the tense air: "Bliss!" Margret's attention was diverted from Charlie Jnr., and a small smile spread on her face. Right behind her, a group of people appeared, her manager, Klaus, leading them. "Bliss, why didn't you even call me before coming here? Am I still your manager?" Klaus asked, curling his lips into a frown. Despite being a male, Klaus was always dressed like a lady. Charlie Jr. watched Margret distractedly before he heard a whisper from his PA "Sir Charlie Jr, your father wants to see you." He averted his gaze while leaving with his entourage. By then, Margret was fully back to her senses and realized that Charlie had gone. At that moment, Klaus witnessed her puzzled expression. "Who are you looking for, Bliss?" Margret forced a weary smile and answered: "Nobody." She was too afraid to let the media get any hints about her children's existence. Klaus tried to
Margret stared at the man she had loved her entire life, the man she had given the presidency of Jing Entertainment, the man she had sacrificed her potential fame for, Daniel Scot, her ex-lover whom abandoned her the time she needed him the most. Margret sneered, "Daniel, why would I explain what happened fifteen years ago? Were you not the one who refused to listen to me then?" Daniel hung his head in shame, "I am sorry, Margret. I was young and stupid then. I want to listen now. Please, tell me what happened." Margret scoffed, realizing how foolish Daniel had been. "Why would I do that? It's been fifteen years, and I have moved on. Please, you should do the same." She turned away and began walking briskly when Daniel called out, "Wait..." Margret paused in her steps. "Don't you still love me?" Margret refused to turn around. "I no longer love you, Daniel. The love I had for you died fifteen years ago, and it's not coming back." Margret left, leaving Daniel standing there wi
Margret squinted her eyes in understanding as she realized why the woman was so frightened, her son was mistaken for Charlie Jnr from the night before. "Ma'am, this is not Charlie Jnr, this is my son," Margret said in a calming tone. The nerd middle-aged woman stiffly sat on her seat and quickly registered Caleb and Celestine with her full attention. "Where should I pay the fees?" Margret asked. The woman waved her hand and shook her head, "There is no need for that, this school owes a lot to your family." Margret hesitated, Celestine chimed in "mom, if she doesn't want the fee, there is no need to force her to accept, lets go, we will be late for our classes if we continue staying here" she agreed and finished the necessary paperwork. After waving goodbye to their teachers, she left the school. The moment she sat in her car and started the engine her phone rang. "Klaus, is anything the matter?" she asked, expecting the worse. The voice on the other line said, "Margret darlin
Margret extinguished the rebellious thought she was nursing.with a palpable sense of dread, she kept her head covered and endured the long car ride. The fleet of cars came to a halt in a magnificent mansion, "get out!" the man at the backside with Margret ordered coldly.Margret alighted from the car using her sharpened instincts by martial arts, because her sight was covered, she couldn't see the endearing beauty of the mansion.A man in his late sixties led two burly men wearing white suits out of the mansion, they met with Margret. The Butler of the White family bowed his head and said apologetically "sorry Miss Margret Owen, our protocol is very rigid that doesn't mean, you are not our distinguished guest."corners of Margret's lips twitched, the Butler didn't see the change in her facial expression because her face was covered."Come with me," the Butler said and motioned the two burly men wearing white suits to bring Margret along.Margret followed them into the magnificent man
Charlie Snr. furrowed his eyebrows in contemplation, his mind racing as he tried to remember any sons he knew who attended Garden High School. After a few moments, he finally turned to John and said in a demanding tone, "John, I need you to find out who the children are and how they are related to me. Do whatever it takes, but I need an answer by dusk. Is that clear?" John nodded his head and replied in a subdued but determined manner, "Yes, sir. I will work as quickly as I can." He bowed his head respectfully before turning and quickly leaving to fulfil the task. Charlie Snr. watched him leave and sighed, leaning back in his chair as he allowed himself to ponder the mystery. His eyes flickered with a faint glimmer of hope as he thought of the possibility of a new family member. ******* Margret arrived at Garden High School, the moment she stepped out of her car, she heard loud voices. To her surprise, her two sons, Caleb and Celestine, were running towards her. Margret smiled
Margret looked on in helplessness as Caleb stood in front of a little girl sitting beneath a tree. The teenager raised her head, squinting her eyes at the intruder's face, which was barely visible due to the bright sunlight.Caleb reached out and knocked the bread the girl was eating to the ground. The girl stared at the fallen bread with regret and sorrow. "Why are you eating spoiled bread? Why don't you go home and ask your mommy for food?" Caleb spoke to the girl with a smile.Tears welled up in the girl's eyes, and she cried, "That is the only food I've eaten for days. My mom is sick, and no one wants to employ me because I'm underage. A kind woman gave me the spoiled bread, and now you've thrown it away."Caleb frowned, realizing the situation was direr than he thought. He took a deep breath and said, "Here, take this." Caleb held out a wad of money, and the girl's eyes widened in shock.Margret called out to Caleb in concern, "Caleb, what are you doing over there? Who are you ta
Margret entered the coffee store with a disguised appearance and made her way directly to the only private room in the establishment. She knocked twice on the door, and a deep voice from within granted her permission to enter. Upon opening the door, she found a man with a stoic facial expression seated firmly in a chair. "You're here, Margaret. I ordered some coffee for us," he said to her. She politely declined, shaking her head and explaining that she had already consumed too much for the day and wouldn't be partaking in any more. Silver chuckled in response to Margret's rejection and quipped, "You're still wary of me, Margret. Why don't you trust me? We've known each other for years now, and you're like a sister to me." Margret forced a smile and replied in a perfunctory manner, "I'm not wary of you. I just have an upset stomach. Can we talk now?" Silver nodded, and his demeanour shifted drastically. Margret placed photos of Millicent Ferguson on the table. "I've been searchin
