"Who was that?" Dominic asked placing his hand on my shoulder making me jump in fear. I didn't realise that I was shaking like a dry leaf.

I looked in Chase's direction. I couldn't talk about Colton in front of my son who adored his father.

"Dad, can you take Chase out for some time. Remember, you promised to play football with him." I gestured my father to take Chase out of there.

Luckily, Chase was engrossed in his new videogame that he didn't notice the change in my behavior.

"Chase, come on Champ, let's play some real games." Dad held his hand and took him to the garden area.

It was only our mothers and us.

"Oh..it..it was from a hospital in Brookville." I couldn't tell him that Colton was admitted there.

"A call from a distant hospital but why did they call you? Do you know somebody there?" He asked with a frown.

"What did you say, Brookville?" Camilla asked before I could answer Dominic's questions. The creases on her forehead told me that she knew something.
