'Something isn't right '

Wendy sat in her office for hours, doing nothing and seeing no one. She was so bored and wondered why she had thought it was not so bad of an idea to go to work and yet do absolutely nothing. She was so used to having more than enough work at the library. Children would always be a handful. Now she had absolutely nothing to do, no one to talk to. She had had absolutely no human contact since the elevator earlier. And yeah, she was getting so hungry.

Maybe she should get out and get food. At least she deserved to eat and stay alive even if she was not doing any work.

She stood up from the seat and headed for the door. Stepping out, she shut the door behind her. Everyone she saw was so busy that she felt so useless and inadequate. She was sure that to the smart ones, it was damn obvious that she was just a spectator in the office.
