CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE

BUTTERFLY LODGE, 6:45AM.

CONFRONTATIONS

"You're the light, you're the night

You're the colour of my blood.

You're the cure, you're the pain,

You're the only thing I wanna touch...," Came the ring tone of Robin's phone, which had her getting up from her sweet sleep.

Without checking the caller ID, she answered the call with a groggy voice, "Hello, Robin speaking."

"How are you sweet Robin, I'm terribly sorry to wake you up so early, but I had a lot to handle at home yesterday and wasn't chanced to ask how you picnic date with Drew went," came the voice on the other line.

Robin quickly took a look at the caller ID from her sleepy eyes and read Margie, she quickly got up and thought to herself, ' so Drew actually told her it was a date?' and answered instead, "It's no problem, you actually helped me to wake up early, I've got some morning lectures today. The date was perfect, I especially liked the cupcakes, your baking is excellent. It actually reminded me of my mum, she was a baker."
