FATE, AS AN ANGEL

Alexis (in flashback pov)

The chilly winter night and freezing sky was covered under the sparkling white snow and footprints of tiny feet disappeared within seconds, leaving no trace of any human existence. The forest's canopied by a thick white layer of ice and the clouds weave the violet sky.

When we left the cave, it collapsed with Suki's corpse and his existence vanished with the fumes of dust. Holding my tiny hands, that great man carried me to the path of home. Not sure what home he was talking about. I assumed he was talking back to the village but he crossed the village by pass and he never minded to look at me when my eyes were wet from the memories of my family.

"Why aren't we going home? You promised me that you will take me back home." I cried and wiped my tears with my free hand.

He ignored me and kept me walking through the sideway.

"This isn't your home anymore." He replied.

I gasped in confusion and curious to know what he meant, "this is not my home anymore? But why?
