"Am sorry...”

"Stay still and stop apologizing" she said applying a cream on bruised face, "I don't take any of them serious, tell me though. Did you beat up Gerald?"

"No I didn't. He tried to invoke me into a fight and when I avoided it he found a way to make me the bad guy"

"That sounds like it, and this bruises?"

"His guards"

"Am sorry, can you seat up?" She asked trying to help.

I nodded as she supported my back with a pillow and folded blankets and sheets. She then went back to her bag of supplies and brought back a tin of rice and yellow beans with a spoon and a bottle of water. She also had a mango. Seated on the edge of my creaky bed she fed me. Once in a while giving me water and wiping my mouth with a towel.

"How long will this go on?" She asked.

She might have read my mind. The same question was making me go nuts. I would have stayed motivated if I knew how long Tessa and her family were going to treat me like trash. But I didn'
