Mom's face was pale too and she had dried tears on her cheeks. It looked like she has been crying.

"Mom?" I called her with a shaky voice.

"Yes, yes baby. Tell me what you want." She answered almost immediately.

I could no longer hold the tears and they kept pouring out uncontrollably.

"Please do not cry Lauren." Mom consoled me but I only cried harder. She hugged me gently and stroke my hair affectionately.

"It was a bad idea mom, it was a bad idea to let Leslie take over and pretend to be me in my marriage. I hate it now mom, I hate it. I want to go back home." I wailed uncontrollably that I had running nose.

My head hurt even more and my eyes felt really tired. I had not regained my strength and I was still weak.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry Lauren..." Mom kept apologizing as she stroked my hair affectionately.

There was a soft knock on the door and I was not fast enough to wipe my tears before the doctor walked in.
