Sixty-One.
(Chris’ POV)
I had been trying to set things in motion for when I was going to be taking Lily out of this hospital behind Alphonso’s back, and we were going to just leave and never look back.
This time, I was planning on making sure that Alphonso could never find us.
It was, however, getting difficult to do that.
I had no connections to anyone who would do that for me without me draining the money we had left completely.
If I did this, I would have to find a job—for real this time—for us to be living together in a comfortable manner. Or, in a way, Lily was used to.
I looked down at her sleeping on the bed, my eyes trailing down to her pregnant belly.
I smiled as I placed a hand on her belly. “Don’t worry, little guy; Uncle Chris is going to make sure everything is going to be alright.” I whispered.
