CHAPTER 38

Ben woke up alone.

When he checked the time, it was way into the afternoon and he needed a fix.

Looking down, the club was pretty dark and some strip dancers were practicing on the stage. He watched them for sometime then remembered what woke him up……..He needed a fix.

Looking around him, he found the table empty. The soup bowls, wine bottles and cups were gone.

Why didn't they wake him?

Not dwelling on the thought, Ben stood up and left the lounge.

When he got to his crib, he quickly ordered for food because his drugs always come with the food. He doesn't even need the whole set of drugs. Just the coke.

He went to the balcony and sat down. Ben loved the view.

Texas city;

For Ben, Texas City was his future. If things had gone the way he planned, he would have finished high school that spring, moved to College of Mainland (COM) to study Chemistry and after
