LIE WITH ME.

Chapter:1

The Great Gates have fallen since the disappearance of the king's lover. Men have gone on an endless search for the missing boy but no one has been able to find him.

The king had called war upon all kingdoms, which he suspected, could have abducted his lover. He had

fought to victory against all in the search of his lover.

His soul left him the night he sought that beautiful body on his bed where he had laid the injured man but could not find him.

His Kingdom was falling and he was failing as king and as ruler of the East Golden Gates.

Nights after nights the King had fallen drunk in unworthy places and had been carried into his chamber by guards or warriors.

The Council of Elders had called several meetings to which the King gave no heed.

Atlas, his wife, has been sending him words that did nothing but infuriate the King more.

If only he would see him again.

Even just for a few moments.

A plea the King has never failed to wish for.

"My lord," Dylan called the sleeping king.

Right before his very eyes, his king had fallen from the great man that he used to be to a pitiful drunk. From a fine strong warrior to a shadow of himself. Even a child would have defeated him in battle.

Dylan has done all in his powers to make sure the boy was found. But no reasonable lead was found as to who had dared to steal what was most precious to the king.

"My Lord."

"Dylan please let me rest," the King whispered.

"Sire but the Elders have gathered for the council and they demand your presence."

"I do not wish to speak to them!" Xrysos yelled but remained face down against the golden pillows.

"Sire please--"

"GET OUT!"

"No Sir, you have to speak to them." Dylan insisted. He has known and served the King since he was young and the king respected him a lot for being a very faithful servant and a noble friend.

"Call Elena to my chamber." The king ordered as he made his way out of bed.

"Let me prepare your bath, today sire." Dylan bowed his head and moved quickly.

Xrysos sat on his bed and gently rubbed his eyes. The memory of the beautiful boy who looked away whenever he caught him staring burned into his soul causing his eyes to water instantly.

"Where are you lover?"

"Sire?" Dylan called his King who was deep in his thoughts.

"Thank you, Dylan." Xrysos made his way to the baths but stopped when he noticed Dylan behind him.

Xrysos faced the man and smiled, he rested one hand on the man's shoulder and squeezed gently.

"Thank you, old friend." He smiled one more time and then walked away.

**********

Xrysos sat on the golden throne pretending to be listening to the council and all their annoying speech.

"Sire you can't let the entire Kingdom suffer because of your inability to choose a decent companion." Elder Rom voiced.

"We held a meeting amongst ourselves as you blatantly refused the invitations sent to you. And we have concluded to have another sit on the throne while you put your house in order." Elder Marcus spoke and others nodded their heads in agreement.

"And we want you to think about finding a suitable way to give us an heir to the throne. A successor. One who will succeed you. A prince!" Elder Dominic met the king's eyes as he spoke but saw that the king paid no heed to either him or any of them for that matter.

All the while they spoke, Xrysos sat there staring into oblivion and nodding to every single word each Elder said. Although he heard a few statements they made which caught his attention, yet he would not utter a word.

"Sire." Dylan tapped on the king's shoulder and the man blinked up at him with a smile so fake it froze the throne room and all that was in it.

"Firstly, I would love to see anyone amongst you who seeks to sit on my throne," The king stood up to address his Elders. "And secondly, you may speak freely of anything that matters to me but not of the one I love!" He stared into their eyes as if daring them to speak.

"It is never heard of a King, as mighty as you, to seek love in another man," Rom yelled.

"Then I shall be the first." The king seethed.

"You are hard to reason with when it comes to matters as deep as these. But remember Sire, a man can not bear you an heir." Dominic told him.

"That I am quite aware of, and I shall see to it, now leave me!" The king ordered them to take leave from

his presence.

"As you wish. But it would be wise if you sleep on this matter and be prepared." Marcus told him before he left.

Xrysos stood watching them leave one at a time, his breaths rough and hard with rage.

*************

"The Elders do speak sense, My Lord. You need an heir, a successor to the throne of your fathers," Dylan spoke behind the angry king as he escorted him back to his chamber. "I do not wish to see it end with you Sire."

"And it won't my good friend," Xrysos assured him.

"What will you do then, Atlas has refused to come back to the Gates, she threatens to bring the war to your doorsteps although she has never carried out any, yet I fear for the worst." Dylan sounded concerned and this touched the king's heart.

He walked into his room and sat down while inviting Dylan to sit as well.

"Dylan, I think these men are plotting against me."

"I know Sire for I see betrayal written on all of their faces."

"No one takes my throne. And I shall give them an heir."

"But how Sire?" Dylan looked him straight in the eyes. "For all I know you have not been with a woman since Atlas."

"Rightly spoken, and yet I have indeed been with one and just as you have well said I have been with Atlas, perhaps I can be with another."

"Another?" Dylan whispered to himself. "From where shall you find a woman worthy to bear thee a son?"

"I am the king and I have indeed found one, though she may not seem worthy, as a King, I make my choice and no one dare question me."

"You have?"

"Yes, Dylan. Now don't act all confused. You know what and who I speak of." Xrysos chuckled.

"I do not know who you speak of My Lord."

"Send Elena to my Chambers at nightfall and have her bearing wine." The king squeezed Dylan's shoulder and then walked towards the big map on the glass table.

"Yes, Sire." Dylan smiled and left the man in peace and quiet.

***********

Xrysos thoughts were about driving him mad when he heard the soft voice of the one he has been waiting for.

"My Lord I brought your wine as ordered Sire." Elena knocked gently on the door and waited for an invitation to come in.

"Come to Elena, I have waited long enough." The king answered impatiently.

Elena made her way into the beautiful room and rushed to the king's foot there she poured him a glass and knelt while he drank and drank until he had taken all that was brought.

His head heavy, eyes blurry he stared down at the Slave woman and commanded.

"Lie with me, Elena."

Surprised, the woman jumped to her feet but did not move.

Xrysos took his items of clothing off until he was completely naked. Then he patted the side of the bed and called Elena over.

"Get naked and lie with me."

Elena obeyed and with one pull, her own soft materials met the floor and she gently climbed into the bed.

Xrysos mounted her and she cried.

"Forgive me love, but this has to be done." Xrysos blinked and a teardrop escaped his eye.
