CHAPTER 40

THIRD PERSON’S POV

Meraya signaled her soldiers, and they brought a man who was almost unable to breathe; the wounds on his body were scattered, and he couldn’t move because of them. Myxy couldn’t help but cry, and she couldn’t bear the thought of Haiden being in that situation, especially with her friends. Their only hope was her and the only one who can help them, but she can’t seem to find the final gem she needed. She looked at Meraya before drawing her sword. Then she stood up, and even though she was struggling to breathe, she tried to show that she was strong.

She didn’t mind Meraya stabbing her, and she did her best to fight it even though it was difficult. She didn’t know what other abilities were hidden in her, and after all that happened, Meraya didn’t care what would happen next. She’d never believe it, and she’d definitely regret it. As Lilibeth looked, nothing could be read on her face, and the only tears in her eyes could be seen. But, deep down, she doesn’t want to see
