Chapter Eighty-One

It looked like Maria now. She started to smile and was trying to force my mouth open when I used all my strength to push her off, then I woke up.

I shouted, then sat up when I looked at the clock. It was ten forty-five p.m. I got up from the bed and downed a cup of water before I returned to the bed. I was about to go to sleep when the door opened.

Someone was coming in. I grabbed the lamp immediately, ready for attack, but the person turned out to be Regan. So I set the lamp back.

"Is something wrong?" He asked me.

I shook my head and said, "No, I just had a nightmare, and it frightened me."

"Oh, what is it about?"

"Nothing important; did you finish what he called you for?"

"Yeah, just a small problem that I needed to look at."

"Good, Go shower and come to bed because I missed you so much."

He bent down and kissed my lips before he headed to the bathroom. A few minutes later, he was out, smelling like his shower gel, and slid in beside me on the bed.
