Chapter One Hundred and One

I laid her on the bed, then placed my hand on her chest to listen to the sound of her heartbeat. I felt very reassured after almost losing her today. But thanks to the moon goddess and Ashlyn, I got her back. I covered her in the duvet and kissed her head.

I walked back outside to see the culprits. When I got there, all the servants were shaking, and they started to beg me, but I gave them a deadly look.

"Shut up," I said.

I pointed at the three that just served food and said, "You may leave."

"Thank you, thank you so much, my prince." They greeted me and ran off.

I moved closer to the one that was supposed to man the kitchen but got distracted, and they were able to go inside the kitchen. She was shaking hard and was holding her mouth to stop herself from speaking.

"You should be careful in your duties, and if such nonsense repeats itself, then you know what will happen to your head," I said to the girl.

She nodded frantically, still looking like she was about to die.

"Leave," I said
