Chapter Sixty-one

"Kelly, with the way you are sounding, you better still not be asleep at Joshua's place," I told her immediately after she picked up the call. I went to her room this morning to check on her, but she was not there.

"Good morning to you too, Alix; I have almost reached the pack house," she whispered out.

"Where are you? Don't tell me you slept with Joshua too. You know how this might end again."

"Alright, madam purity, I will have you know that we, including a few pack members, crashed in Clara's place for an after-party

"Who are we?"

"Me, Joshua, and two other guards that were instructed to watch over me; they did not drink though, so boring. Only Joshua had a glass of whiskey after I cajoled him for a long time, but for what it was, I had a nice time. I drank like a fish, knowing that no one could do anything to me there."

"Congratulations to you. You forgot that you are supposed to be careful and also forgot that we are leaving this morning."
