The rest of the dinner went on without almost any hitch, and the only one was when Kingsley and Reagan almost got into an argument.

When we were nibbling on the chocolate cake that was served as a dessert, paired with sweet port wine, Victor and Reagan were whispering something while Kingsley was listening.

Elizabeth asked Kingsley, "Have you told your mate that she will be shown to the court just like Alix, tomorrow? Then she will be assigned duties as one of us?"

He shook his head. "I must have forgotten."

Kelly's eyes widened. "Tomorrow? But isn't it too close? Can't we keep it till tomorrow?"

"There is a meeting tomorrow," I answered.

"No dear, Everyone must be shown to the court if you want people to regard you as one of us. If you are not shown to the court, then you will be the one to greet all the elders, and no one will respect what you say unless your mate is there.
