“Boss,” Gabe regards me as he walks into the room, a scowl sits on his face.

“What’s the situation on ground?” I ask, walking past him with a gun in my hand, my fingers twitching to fucking out a bullet through Romano's brain.

“We’ve apprehended the culprit.” Gabe reports and I nod, looking at him expectantly to give me the information I really wanted to hear. His mouth parts to speak his next words when they read mine. “She’s safe. If we had arrived a minute late, he might have escaped.”

He states, stepping aside for me as I made a beeline down my hallway that was now littered with a few dead bodies.

Some of them I don't recognize as my men, laid amongst the bodies. I'm sure the courtyard would have a few litters as well. To think they were able to disable my security alarm and quietly take out my men, only someone with inside information on how the system works would be able to do so and all my men were trained on that, not because I wanted that sort of information to be broad
