Few Hour Earlier…

“What are you trying to say?”

“It’s quite obvious, make her your queen.”

I scoff at my best-friend, rolling my eyes. “That’s impossible and you know it. She’s not like us, I’m not going to drag her further into my world.” I say with a grim expression contouring my face.

I take another drink of my whiskey, the cool liquid burns down my throat as I chunk the rest of it. “No, she’s not.” He concurs, putting his glass down on the stool beside him.

“Then don’t talk about it anymore. I don’t need a queen to run my empire.” I state, dispelling the topic. It wasn’t one I wanted to talk about. He doesn’t speak after that, just watches me, I feel his gaze on me. His tight-lipped expression tells me that he’s not pleased. I didn’t care either way, it wasn’t like I needed a woman by my side but the thought of letting her go was just an impossible task to me. Because she was already mine.
