I'm sorry it took this long to wrap up the story. I'm done with my exams for now, and I hope to see you on my new book next month.
CHAPTER 1Molly:Flashback (Earlier today)“Don’t be afraid, Molly; I’ll be there to pick you up tomorrow. Do it right now and you’ll be free!” Kate, my best friend, said this as she held my hands and wiped my tears away.It was just our suspicions at first, but we had just watched a clip from a camera I had hidden in the room I shared with my fiancé.“Kate, my stepfather will kill me; you know how much this wedding means to him,” I said as I tried to stop her from wiping away the tears welling up in my eyes.“The ball is in your court; either liberate yourself now or suffer in silence for the rest of your life!” Kate said.End of flashback Kate’s last words rang in my ears as I held the hard drive containing footage of my fiancé and his lover. He lied to me, and he pretended my stepfather was the devil for selling me to him.It was the night before my wedding to Bruno Mendez, L. A’s most powerful businessman. Instead of getting enough rest for tomorrow, I was in the beautifully decora
Molly:“I don’t think we should be here, Kate. We should probably go home and rest up for tomorrow,” I said to Kate through the loud music as she gulped down the contents of her glass.“Come on, you’re no fun!” Kate said in an ear-splitting tone, and then she let out a giggle. She then took another shot and squeezed her face against the burning sensation, after which she laughed. “You should celebrate freedom tonight,” she said, passing me a shot, which I declined. She shrugged and gulped the contents. We needed to get on a plane as soon as possible because Bruno and his men would come right after us. Here I was paranoid, and my best friend was unbothered.“What if Bruno and his men find us?”“Shh,” Kate said, putting a finger to my mouth before wrapping her arm around my neck.“Have this,” she said, forcing a glass of liquor down my throat. As I felt the burning sensation down my throat, I squeezed my face, but as soon as it was over, I felt great.“You know what? Perhaps you’re right
Farrell:The irritating sound of my phone ringing woke me up. I groaned several times because I was suffering from a throbbing headache. I reached for my side table but couldn’t feel anything, so I forced my eyes open to see that I was in a motel.Last night’s memories flooded back as I looked around the room. Her sweet taste lingered in my mind, and it made me smile. I reached for her on the other side of the bed, wanting more of her but finding an empty bed.“What’s this?” I said aloud as I grabbed the piece of paper and money from the bed.“I’m sorry about last night. Take this and forget it ever happened,” I said, reading the contents of the paper. My lips curved wide because I found it amusing that she didn’t know who I was. “Sir!” My smile faded as I heard Martin’s voice from the door.I was the most ruthless and feared man in town, so I couldn’t be caught slacking and smiling because of a woman. He walked in shortly after opening the door.“Are you fucking mad!” I yelled. I the
Farrell:“Andrew Waterson, today is your day of reckoning!” I said with a growl as I removed my hat. When I looked up, I noticed how chaotic the situation was. There was a girl bleeding from her leg. Andrew backed up to the wall like a coward, and there she was—my golden goose. They dressed her in a wedding gown, but she was unhappy. Her face was red and swollen. Tears streamed down her cheeks, and a man clutched her tightly.“Please help my friend,” she pleaded, reaching out for me, but the man yanked her back. Then I hazily remembered everything she had said in the club the night before, and I concluded the man was her fiance. I became enraged, and I cocked my gun and shot this man in the chest without hesitation. His blood splattered all over her white gown. I saw her eyes widen, and she gasped for air. Then I ordered Martin and Perez to take the bleeding girl to the hospital.“Bruno!” Molly screamed as he crashed to the floor. She grabbed him and rocked him.“You... you killed him
Molly: I cried myself to sleep at the foot of the bed, still dressed in my bloody gown. The sound of the door opening jolted me awake, and I leapt to my feet, eager to see his face and learn what he had in store for me. But when the door opened, a young lady walked in. She was dressed in a black gown with a white apron and a white cap. I could still see her beautiful black curls through the cap. "My name is Rose, and I'm here to prepare your bath," she said her eyes darting along my body and the corner of her lips raising. She then locked the door and approached me. I remained still the entire time as she moved past me to the door on the left. She opened it and shut it once she was inside. I collapsed onto the bed and stretched my hands. At this point, I couldn't say if I was fortunate or unlucky. I was fortunate to have escaped Bruno and my pathetic excuse for a stepfather, but Farrell was no angel. The lady emerged from the room after a few moments and approached me. "Your bath
Molly: “Have you had anything to eat yet, my darling?” He inquired, and I looked at him blankly. I was still terrified by what he had said, and he was simply changing the subject. “If you’d rather have me for dinner, just say so; gawking at me with no words is a little strange,” he smirked. “Oh, don’t flatter yourself,” I said, folding my arms, turning to walk away, but he gripped my waist. “Rule number two, never walk away from me when I’m talking to you,” he said in a vile tone. “So..?” he asked. “I haven’t eaten yet,” I said, my face turned to the side. “Very well then, dress up and come to dinner with me,” he said as he let go of my hand. I sighed deeply and headed to the pink bed to sit as he left the room. Then I remembered I never even inquired about the location of the wardrobe. I looked around the room, assuming that one door was the door to the closet. I stood up and made my way to the first door on the right. Then I yanked it open, and what I saw startled me. It was
Farrell: I awakened with a tightness in my chest. Then I realized I was naked to the chest and sleeping on cold tiles. This could only mean one thing: I was still sleep walking. The elderly lady’s incessant cry for her daughter overwhelmed my ears, causing me to force my eyes open. I rose from the cold floor and inspected the room, seeing that she lay with her eyes closed on the bed. I approached her and examined her aged skin. I wrapped a blanket around her because the coolness of the room was causing her lips to chatter. Then I touched her silky gray hair softly. “I’ll find your daughter,” I whispered, and the corner of her mouth raised. The incident happened about ten years ago, yet every time I slept walked, it felt like yesterday. After correctly tucking her hands into the blanket, I turned to leave. I opened and closed the door softly. Then, as usual, I locked it. “Hey,” Molly said quietly from behind me. She kept a poker face when I turned around to face her. “What brough
FARRELL:I slammed the door and scrunched my face as I stared at Cassie, who had a smirk on her face. Cassie was the thorn in my rose garden and my ex; unlike the other women I had dated, she was the most fearless. I met her shortly after losing my wife, and her submissive but haughty demeanor lifted me out of my depression. She was still stunning, with her large sky-blue eyes, long lashes, and those juicy kissable lips that were always ready to give some lips. But Cassie was bad news; she embodied the adage “all that glitters is not gold.”She satiated my strange sexual desire, but she never let me heal properly.“Mr. Gustavo,” she said seductively, spreading her long, spotless legs on my table to reveal her underwear.“Can you explain how you got in here, Cassie?” I inquired, my brow furrowed. Then I took off my jacket and hung it on a hook near the door. “I am not here to play games, Cassie; please tell me how you got in!” I said this with a growl and marched straight to the table.
