CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR

"okay!" Luna peeled her eyes from Alexander and tried focusing her eyes on the dark road before them, but she couldn't. The only thing she could think about apart from the fact that she just told Alex.....everything, was how he hit Jess like that because of her.

"Why...why did you hurt him that much? I mean, you didn't have the-"

Alex slowly turned his head to face her. He didn't say anything, but noticed that she stopped speaking. "He was about to hurt you. If I had gotten here later, then he probably would have. I had to drive really fast to get to you. You should appreciate that!"

He gripped the key and twisted it. As the car roared under them, he didn't steal another glance at the almost dead Jess, before speeding down the dusty, dark road.

Luna exhaled and rested her head on the seat. She was really tired of everything, and all she wanted to do was to get home and sleep till whenever.

"Did you kill them?" He didn't look at her. She slowly raised her head
