Sam heard her loud and clear, but still he wanted reassurance; he wanted to hear her say it again.

“What do you mean?” Sam pretended, leaning closer to the table separating both of them.

Emily heaved a sigh, she didn’t want to keep repeating the words as it made her a little embarrassed.

“I want us to go on with the feelings we have for each other, Sam, and I accept the request you gave me that day,” Emily made her response more clearer, in order not to repeat herself again.

But she didn’t look at Sam’s eyes when she finished talking, she was too shy to do so.

Instead she placed her gaze on the small vase beautifying their table.

Sam could literally feel the joy in his heart, he couldn’t explain the feeling in words but he could tell that he had never felt such a way in a long time.

It was different from when Amelia accepted his offer, this looked a lot like a big deal, but he wouldn’t make it seem so.
