The Call and The Date

Emily dialed Sam’s number, the beeping sound from the phone made her very nervous; after it had rang for about ten seconds, she ended the call out of fear and tension.

She had no idea why she was feeling this way towards a man she was older than; like a teenage girl who just got teased by one rich high school boy.

‘What do you want to do, Emily!’ She said to herself in her mind, as she dropped the cellphone on the bed and paced her small bedroom.

Her heart was pounding as if it wanted to come out from her chest; Emily hated the fact that she felt this way, just because she wanted to accept the man she had grown feelings for.

Was it because he was her boss? Or because he was the son of the man she so much respected?

She had no idea.

As Emily paced her room back and forth, brooding about the step she just took, the phone rang suddenly; startling her and making her heart thud heavily.

She quickly rushed to the bed and stared at who the caller was; as she had thought, it was Sam.
