“Are you seriously asking that question, Amelia?” Derek glanced at her with a shocking expression and then looked back at the road.

“I mean, I’m just thinking, what if he’s telling the truth?” Amelia persisted, she knew she shouldn’t be doubting; but the confidence that those last words carried was so intimidating.
