71. THE BATTLE LINE IS DRAWN

I didn’t wake up again for the next five hours after the drugs wore off and by the time I woke up, Stanley was already by my side.

As soon as he saw me gradually opening my eyes, he rushed over and bombarded me with series of questions.

“Baby! Are you fine? Do you need anything? Does it hurt anywhere? How are you feeling now?” he slammed and my eyes finally opened fully at the sound of his voice.

“Gosh! You talk too much. I think calling the doctor is the first thing you should do” I lectured him and he paused to realize that was the first thing he should have done truly.

“Ah that’s true. Give me a second” he muttered and pushed the button beside my bed to call their attention.

While waiting for them to show up, he took hold of my right hand and gently massaged it to calm me down and assured me that everything would be alright.

The doctor came and conducted the necessary checkups before informing us that I was only suffering from a mild concussion due to the sudden shock I experience
