99. HER HELP

MONICA’S POV

Even though I told her not to worry about whatever it is they had planned to say at the meeting, I was still scared of what the outcome would be. I just came out from the police’s detention and I haven’t had the time to put together evidences that would prove that I wasn’t the criminal they all thought I was.

All those tensions couldn’t make me concentrate anymore so I decided to visit my dead mother’s abandoned office. I told them to leave it as it was but make sure to clean it from time to time because I would love to visit there occasionally and it was the right time to make that visit I haven’t made for ages.

“As usual, it always feel so warm here” I muttered and sat on her chair, looking around the office.

“Mom, what do I do? I don’t think I can hold on for long. Nothing seems to be working, I am just trying to hold it together and not break down but how long can I stand? It’s getting tiresome” I poured out as I stared from one edge of the wall to the other.
