CHAPTER 41

"The Lycans are going against my father and they want war." He sounded frustrated and completely exhausted.

"I know." Lucian stopped. He turned to Marcus swiftly.

"And you are just telling me now? We are supposed to be friends." Lucian's voice carried disappointment. Why would Marcus know something as crucial as the war and hide it away from him?

"It wasn't in my place to tell you. You would have certainly gone telling your father and the council didn't want that. I'm sorry but I had to shut up." Marcus's voice was pleading.

Lucian continued his walk and Marcus followed him. It was another long silence. Lucian was angry.

"Tell me you didn't know they want me to kill my father." Lucian broke the silence again. But Marcus didn't respond.

"I knew about that too." Marcus finally responded and Lucian gasped at him. He looked at his friend unbelievably and started walking away. Marcus followed. He was walking so fast that Marcus had to run to catch up with him.
