Scarlett’s POV

“Hey Alpha!” He teased, and I couldn't help but smile, regretting what I did to him two years ago, all for those two betrayals.

“Hi Atlas” I muttered, still maintaining the smile flickered on my face.

I admired his face for the first time ever. Luke did a lot by blinding my eyes from not seeing other men's beauty, but I am back again to Amend those silly mistakes.

“Wow, you know my name?” He uttered in disbelief, biting his lips sexily. I quickly diverted my gaze from his lips and wondered why He is making me feel anomaly.

“Who doesn't know Beta's son?” I blurted out, not realizing what I just said, but the bean has been spilled already.

“Awwwn, don't know I am popular” He facepalmed shyly covering his face abruptly.

“Oops, see you later Atlas” I murmured sadly, loving his company, but I need to check the park and put things in order.

“So fast” Atlas muttered, His face dropped, it seems he doesn't want me to go but what can I do.

“I have numerous things to do, Remember I am the one in charge of this park.......”

“I understand, but can I join you?” He blurted out interrupting me from completing my statement, I stared at him confusingly wondering what he meant, but I decided to shrug it off.

“I don't understand what you mean” I babbled, I wanted to let it slide, but I was so curious to know what he meant.

“Will just walk you out” He muttered calmly, staring at the ground.

Wondering what is wrong with him, but I would rather not press it further, I nodded my head, and we began walking around the Park. Everything is still the way it was two years ago, Moon goddess keeps on making me perplexed and astonished. She reversed everything, making me start afresh.

“Why are you staring at the park like that, You are acting strange” He whispered in my ears softly, I shivered slightly moving away from him stylishly. His breath made my heart skip a beat, but I wave the thought off when it dawned on me, that I am here for revenge only, not the other way around.

“Nothing, just amazed” I replied, tucking my hair properly.

We continued our conversation, smiling and laughing at the same time. He made me laugh a lot, we got to the woods and came across the two so-called cousins holding hands and walking towards us. Luke's facial expression changed when he saw me with Atlas, but he quickly smiled to cover it up.

“What a coincidence meeting my best friend and her cousin here” I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes secretly, indeed the two devils are good actors.

“What are you doing here, Scarlett?” Annabel questioned innocently as ever, acting like a caring friend but an Animal in human form. I can't be fooled twice, those times are in the past, not again.

“Just taking a walk with my friend Atlas” I replied beaming pretentiously, felt like plucking their eyes and feeding it to the dogs, won't rush yet cause there is time for everything.

“Ohhh, Nice to meet you Atlas” Annabel enunciated in a tight voice and I scoffed. 

She brought her hands forward to Atlas for a handshake, unfortunately Atlas didn't glance at her, he left her hand hanging. I almost burst out laughing, but comported myself.

“Don't bother for a handshake, Nice to meet you too Annabel, and you are?” Atlas explained, pointing at Devilish Luke, who couldn't stop gawking at me. 

“Luke” He Replied to Atlas and they both shook hands, Annabel was still embarrassed by the scene earlier, she was unable to talk anymore.

“See you later Scarlett, Luke and I are heading somewhere” Annabel mouthed hurriedly, dragging Luke. They left quickly without waiting for my reply, Atlas really did a good job in making them disappear from here, Their sight sucks.

“Atlas, you made my best friend feel embarrassed, that's not good though” I voiced out sarcastically, laughing lightly.

“Sorry about that, She has a bad aura and I don't like her, I will urge you to be careful when you are around her, you said she is your best friend, Be cautious.

“Thanks, don't worry about her, She is not bad you know” I defended, not wanting to say anything bad about her or involve him in our personal issues.

“Okay, if you say so” He murmured and ruffled my hair, earning a smile from me.

“You've done enough today, thank you so much. Bye” I patted his shoulders then ran off to My mansion without listening to his reply.

“What is this?” I groaned when I felt cold water being poured on my body. My dress, and bed were soaked, and I got annoyed.

“Will you stand up from the bed now, or you want me to continue the pouring of the water” I heard Annabel's innocent voice, I scoffed angrily. Why is she acting like a saint, I kept on wondering.

“Did you want her to expose herself then, before knowing how demonic she is” My wolf said inside of me, I kept quiet for some time as the scene of two years ago kept replaying in my mind. 

“Scarlett!!!!!!” I heard another scream from Annabel that jerked me off My thought.

“What is it?Don't I deserve some rest, Annabel?” I asked, folding my arms on my chest furiously waiting for her stupid reply.

“You are becoming rude Scarlett, are you really the Scarlett I know, huh?” She uttered, staring at me, pretending like someone who is hurt.

“I am not the Scarlett you know, I can't be fooled twice. You took me for granted, you are going to reap from what you sowed soon” I thought inwardly but smiled at her.

“ I am sorry, I just needed some rest. You know I love you” I hugged her, glaring at her apoplectically, though she couldn't see it.

“It is fine, I understand. You have some meetings with the elders, and you know what it means. I shouldn't be telling you this, you lead this park for crying out loud, don't let me remind you of everything” She blabbed, but I didn't care, she really wanted to become the Luna of this park, going this far to know almost everything that happens in the park.

I should've noticed this in the past, this is the exact way she acts, she always wants to go to every meeting with me, even when she is being restricted from going there. I made use of my power, I was so foolish, and made her come with me to all meetings. Not going to let her have access to me anymore, she won't even know my next move.

“You can go to your room, I will go there myself thanks for letting me know” I dictated Nonchalantly, she was dumbstruck staring at me.

“I..... Thou.....”

“Don't bother, I will go there myself, you should let me do things myself. You've been following me to every meeting, I will go there myself today, I will be fine.” I whispered and pecked her cheeks, giving her assurance, we are going to play the game together and let's see who loses and who wins.

“Okay, then.” She muttered and left, I smiled, smirking evilly. She won't know what will hit her soon, Enjoy while it lasts.

**Anabbel's POV**

I left Scarlett's room angrily, roaming around my room. My head is filled with crazy, wild and stupid thoughts, I don't know what she is feeling like now, The Scarlett I know never goes out without me, what is going on.

“What are you thinking of while I am here” I heard Luke's voice and I stopped thinking about Scarlett, turned my face towards his direction.

“When did you get here?” I questioned walking close to him.

“Just now, what are you thinking, huh?”

“Lock the door first” I replied, ruffling my hair as he locked the door.

“So tell me, what is going on in my baby's mind?” He teased me. I blushed slightly while sitting down on his lap.

“I don't know what is wrong with my stupid best friend, she is acting strange. Scarlett always talks about dreaming of her mate, but all of a sudden, she doesn't seem to want it anymore. Something is wrong somewhere and at this rate, our plans will fall apart” I explained worriedly, stomping my foot on the ground enraged.

“Calm down, we shouldn't rush her. Don't be in a hurry, we are gonna still have her dance to our tune, Don't let this spoil your mood” Luke assured me and that calmed me down a little, He tapped my back softly, turning me on.

“Not only that though, She didn't let me trail with her to the meeting with the chiefs as usual, My instinct keeps on telling me that something is wrong, I am afraid that is the truth” I gritted my teeth, shutting my eyes to think deeply.

“Just chill, she just wants to go on her accord. She has never told you No, but she did today because she needs her own private moment, don't let that disturb you. Our plan is going to go smoothly, leave that for me” Luke said convincingly, and I nodded my head.
