Walking up and down the steps in heaven which had seemed less than thirty minutes had actually been a month down in my world. I stepped out sure it had just been a few minutes to find the pack having moved on, rebuilding itself with all trying to find a way to live on without all the relatives they had lost.

They were shocked to see me but I could not even be happy to see Brum. My body fell with a thud, sitting with my legs crossed, my head in my hands as I let the tears flow. I had felt the bond the very second it snapped away. I had still been climbing out of the darkness and I had felt as if I had been dying but I had continued walking, fighting to not run back to her, fighting to get back home so I would move on and pretend as if I was not breaking apart but it had not been that easy.
