My hand pushed the cover to close the booklet I had been reading with the back of it staring back at me. I picked it up with much joy, moving it to the pile of files I had been going though. A breath escaped, my smile tipping up, spreading such warmth it nearly had me giggle. My toes curled, biting my lip.

Even staring up was bliss with my eyes resting on the other table at the other end of the room. My hands sweat, biting my lower lip with it too moist, my lips glazing through.

I could not sit there anymore. It had been five hours of absolute torture and I could not take it anymore, I was done.

My chair was pushed back, my body pushed up as my legs moved. My feet were bare, my heels having been kicked off some time ago when I had been digging through the large pile of files.
