It was the final day and we were opening the last of the factories. It had been a long and torturous two months but we had survived, yet I was not sure how. The five villages were operating to their maximum capacity, them stunning; a sight only one could have dreamt of before. There was nothing our people were short of, all in abundance.The last week had been the hell. I had pushed it with my nose. I was not going to wait any minute longer in that ash field with the wind howling as the weather changed little by little. The sky turned gray just as fast, the wind picking up and having the ash assault our senses.
