Chapter two

JEANNE'S POV.

"Kiara.." I muttered in shock as I stared at her. 

"Hi Cuz." She says with a smile and that irked me. She is just a good pretender and that is what I hate the most about her. 

"Why are you here?!" I scoffed and she smiled even more wider.

"Will you talk or not?" I snapped at her.

"Your dad invited me to your birthday party which is taking once tomorrow.." Kiara said and I scoffed the more.

"Party? I'm not going to have any party!" I said angrily and Kiara smiled.

"Jeanna, we are cousins, why do you hate me?: Kiara asked in one of her usual fake smile.

'Oh please spare that time. You talk as if you don't know what happened and also my name is Jeanne not Jeanna.." I muttered with any eye roll and Kiara smirked.

'Well, I prepared lunch for you and also to remind you, I'll share the room with you tonight!" Kiara said with a wink and I just sighed and rolled my eyes before walking upstairs.

I freshened up again and went back into the kitchen. I reheated the food mum prepared earlier, there is no way I'm going to hate the food that witch had made.

And well you can't blame me, I couldn't cook to be frank. Since I'm the only child of my parents, they really spoiled me.

After reheating the food, I dished out some and immediately before going to my room to eat it.

The door opened and Kiara walked in. I shot her a glare and rolled my eyes yet again.

"Your dad's back.." She said and then fell on the bed.

"You better get your ass from the bed before I come back.." I told her and immediately ran out of the room.

"Dad.." I screamed excitedly as I ran downstairs.

"Princess.." Dad called with a smile and spread his arms wide open and I jumped in it while he hugged me tightly.

My Uncle Richard was behind him watching us with a cranky look on his face.

"Princess, are you ready for tomorrow?" Dad asked as he pulled away from the hug.

"Dad, I didn't know you were throwing a birthday party for me.." I whined and he pinched my cheeks lightly.

"I'll anything for you princess.." He said and I smiled the more.

"It's good so she finally leave the house.." Uncle Richard mumbled under his breath but I clearly heard him.

"What are you saying?" I questioned and furrowed my brows but Dad quickly cleared his throat.

"It's nothing princess. Just go sleep and prepare for tommorow..."

I nodded and he pecked me.

"Good night princess.." He said and I smiled.

"Goodnight Dad.." I then proceeded to my room.

The next day.

Everywhere has been beehive of activities since I woke up. Of course they were preparing for my birthday party.

I invited all my classmates since I didn't have a single friend there. I just don't make friends.

Some makeup artists came over and everything was fine smoothly. Soon I was ready, looking really elegant in a royal blue gown and a simple make up.

But what I'm really waiting for is the surprise Dad planned for me.

The party started and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I recieved a lot of gifts from my classmates even my mum.

"Happy birthday.." She whispered to my ears and I smiled.

"Thanks mum, I love you.." I told her and she kissed my forehead.  

Later on, the birthday cake was cut and then it was time for Dad to give me his gift.

I was expecting to see a parcel but then he gave me an envelope.

"Dad, what's this?" I asked curiously as I stared at the envelope.

"Open it princess.." He urged me and I shrugged while everyone stared at me expectantly.

I opened the envelope and brought a documented paper from it.

I smiled again before opening it.

I read out the contents

"Dear Jeanne Thalcobs, you have selected as one of the students of Talents Scouts institute of America. You are hereby asked to resume school with immediately effect.."

I gasped and the paper fell from me.

"I've been accepted into the Talents Scouts Institute ..."
