By the following night Tyler had caught Cade up on everything that was going on in New Orleans and Cade was to be acting Alpha of the pack while we were away. But we didn't know how long that was going to be for. So the following night when everyone woke up and were ready to party I noticed that there was barely anyone around the mansion. I found Angelo in the courtyard with Mitchell having a pretty heated argument until they saw me and stopped. And Mitchell stormed off. "Was it something I said?" I asked sarcastically. "No. He just doesn't like have werewolves in the mansion. It's taken us a long time to draw lines and barriers where every species belong. And he thinks that I am breaking all the rules now." Angelo explained. "If we're causing too much trouble then we can leave. We can go back home and you can call me if and when you find out any information of Josiah." I say. "No. You're not leaving. I will make all these vampires disappear before I tell you to leave." Angelo sa
I started screaming in pain and Tyler was screaming at the witch to stop but Angelo stopped Tyler from interfering. "This will help her. Trust me." Angelo yelled above the noise of the room. "How the fuck is this helping her. It's hurting her." Tyler growled. His body starting to vibrate with anger and fur started sprouting on his arms. "You need to calm down. This was the easiest way. We don't have time for her to find her own powers." Angelo yelled. "What are you talking about?" Tyler growled as his canines protruded from his gums and Angelo knew that he needed Tyler to calm down. "Would you hurry up over there. I can't hold this wolf off for much longer." Angelo yelled at the witch. But she kept chanting and the light coming from my chest sprouted out like branches of a tree and went in all different directions. Tyler stopped losing control because curiosity got the better of him and he looked out the window to see other witch's circling the building and they were also chantin
The following morning we came downstairs to a completely full breakfast already prepared by that witch that Angelo hired to cook for us. And we sat down to eat almost all of it. And I saw Mitchell walk through the dining room, avoiding the sunlight as he was headed to the basement. "How's the neck?" I asked and Tyler chocked on his coffee. "Fuck you." Mitchell says as he kept walking and I smirked at Tyler. "Why do you need to do that?" Tyler asked. "Because it's fun." I say. Then Gladys walked into the room. "You're up and eating. That's great to see. We have a lot of work to do today." She says. "I know. Do you want some breakfast?" I asked. "No thanks. I've already eaten." She says. "We're gonna have to break up our training hours though. Angelo says that he wants to be there for some of it too." She says. "That doesn't surprise me. So, how do you and Angelo know each other?" I asked as she sat at the table. "He saved my life. Which I didn't understand at the time. Until h
TYLER POV "You son of a bitch." I say and Angelo stops dead in his tracks. His eyes going wide when he realized that he had just been found out. "It's not what you think." Angelo says. "Tessa will never stay here. Is that why you made that witch force that power on to her? So she had no right but to stay here and buy you more time?" I asked. "No. She needed to tap into her witchy powers. It would have taken too long if she did it on her own and she really does need to face that shadow witch." Angelo explains. "Why do those bastards want Tessa? Why do they need her? And what curse are they talking about?" I demanded answers. "You saw how small they are. They're tiny wolves. Their pathetic compared to wolves up north. I'm guessing you would probably put them to shame." Angelo says. " There is a prophacy that a hybrid can break the curse. That's the most that I know about the curse. I've seen it, but I can't make any sense out of it. All I know is that it describes Tessa." Angelo ex
"You're trapped me in here?" I asked stunned while he looked proud of himself. "I knew that it was the only way to keep you here. At least until you decide to stay on your own." He answers. "Tyler. Step back through the barrier. Make sure that you can come back in." I say not taking my eyes off Angelo. So Tyler reached through the barrier and grabbed my hand and he stepped back through. "I was never going to keep you from your mate." Angelo says upset. "Well, how the hell do I know what you are capable of anymore?" I asked. "That hurts. You know that I just want to keep you with me." Angelo says. "Go to hell. You can't keep me here forever." I say. "I know you're upset now. I've had some people already move your things into another room since you destroyed the bathroom in that other room. I'll talk to you two when you've calmed down." Angelo says starting to walk away. "Don't plan on that being any time soon." I growl. We went up to our new room and closed the door and I pulle
"The next morning I didn't wake up until late and with a bit of a hangover but Gladys was there yelling at me from downstairs to get my ass down there. "Just because you got drunk doesn't mean you're getting out of training." She yelled. "Can I kill her?" I asked rolling over on to my back. "Not until she's taught you everything. And then I'm going to kill her." Tyler says. "Okay. That works for me too." I say. I roll out of bed and land on my hands and knees and Tyler laughed leaning over the bed. "Are you okay?" He asked. "I think I'm going to die." I say crawling to the wardrobe before using the shelves to help me up and I got some clothes on and I brushed my hair. " How the hell can you just crawl out of bed and have that perfect messy look work for your hair?" I asked. "Because I'm a guy with a great head of hair. It works for me." He says kissing me while grabbing some clothes from the cupboard. I went downstairs to the courtyard and Gladys was already waiting for me. "W
I wake up coughing from the explosion and I push some debris off of me and I sit up covered in dust and there is rubble everywhere and people. I start scurrying around from person to person to make sure that their alright. I hear a lot of whooping and cheering outside and I see that it's the vampires. They're the ones that attacked us with Mitchell leading the attack. I got to everyone and they were relatively unharmed, which was hard to believe but they got up and saw the vampires coming for us. So the vampires got their faces on ready to fight and the wolves shifted to wolf form. There were a lot of us and we were a lot bigger than they were used to. Tyler stood in front of me. It was still painful for me to shift and they were waiting for their time. 'Stay here. Don't shift.' Tyler tells me in the mind link. 'But they're here because of me. I have to help.' I reply. 'No. You're too important. You stay here.' He commanded. And I watched as the wolves and vampires ran out t
TESSA POV I slowly wake to the sun beaming in my bedroom and the sudden pain in my head has me hissing and grabbing at it like it is about to explode. I look around the room and everything is blurry at first before my sight comes into focus. I notice that I am naked under the blankets and the events of the day before start flashing through my mind. The battle with the vampires. My wolf. The fire. Everything. And I jolt up quickly in bed before I feel a hand on my shoulder. I look over and Tyler was sitting up next to me holding my arm. I must have woken him up when I jolted awake. And I threw myself at him and hugged him. "What did I do last night?" I asked. "You saved us. And it wasn't last night. It was two night ago." He says. "What?" I asked. "You've been unconscious for two nights. And a full day yesterday." He says. "Who did I hurt?" I asked. "Only them. You didn't hurt any of us. I promise. You saved our lives." He says. "What happened? How the hell did I do t
