Jasmine's pov.

"Your Highness, the council members and representatives from. other packs have been gathered." One of the guards informed my father and I literally heard the practice breathing of my heart. My palms turned cold and my throat suddenly became too patched.

"Alright. I'll be there in a minute." my father replied back to the guards and after heaving a heavy sigh, he stood up. My mother followed the shot and together they walked to the meeting area. I gulped down the entire content of my fruit juice and that was enough motivation. The sugar would work wonders in boosting my courage. The surge of sugar in my veins was at its peak. I could feel it.

My eyes searched the faces seated at the C-curved meeting table as I searched for any addon to the previous party that had gathered and I found one. Next to the human representatives was a man that wasn't present the last time.
