CHAPTER 152 - DAMNED DEITIES

“I am no longer the plaything of the shadows to be manipulated; I owe you NOTHING!” The beast roared in a mix of voices.

Laughing, the shadow came at us so fast that we didn't notice its movements, sinking its enormous claws into us and tearing. I sighed in pain, dodging the second attack at the last moment. I glanced briefly at the last chain!

The shadow attacked again; we ran under the entity's legs, sliding to Sophie and breaking the last chain. She slumped forward.

“DON'T YOU DARE TAKE HER AWAY FROM HERE!” The shadows roared.

More shadow allies began to emerge in Sophie's mind, preventing us from passing.

“Damn it!” Lambert shouted, somewhat limping, as he approached. “How are we going to get out of here and clear my child's mind?”

Striking Sophie's hair, he looked at her and then turned to look at me.

“I hate these gods…” I growled, aware of what needed to be done, and roared. “DESTINY, I MAKE THE CHOICE TO FREE MY LUNA FROM THE SHADOWS!”
