After Ezra executed Viktor, he ordered Meyer's men who were waiting outside the cabin to clean up all the mess he had made. They took Viktor's body to the building next to the cabin which was a giant furnace. Ezra orders them to burn Viktor's corpse and throw the ashes into the river. And while Viktor's corpse was burned, the men worked inside the house to clean up all traces of Viktor that had been left there.

Ezra cleaned Viktor's blood with antiseptic fluid and warm water repeatedly, until all traces of blood and the fishy smell were gone. He saw that Viktor's blood was slightly splattered on his clothes, but they were obscured by the blood having turned brown on the dark surface of his clothes. After that he went out to see Viktor's cremation process. For years this method worked to get rid of people who have disturbed his life. No police could accuse him of murder because there was never any proof.
