Devlin looked at his mate who is looking inside his cabin through a keyhole in the door. He wants to laugh seeing her stupidity sometimes but then he knew why she is doing that. He must be angry with her but also then he knew he can’t and he don’t have any right to be angry with her for hiding that. Today morning when he heard about her identity, he immediately feared that the points he is trying to connect are connecting by themselves. He didn’t speak to her after hearing that. But, he is always careful around her. He shook his thoughts and went near her clearing his throat. But, he failed in his attempt as her full concentration is on the place behind the keyhole. When she was trying to look at the entire room through the keyhole, her wolf started to rage at her. “I know I’m the wolf for the stupidest girl ever, who doesn’t even have a brain. But, don’t even have a nose. Look behind, our mate is standing there” Her wolf and she immediately turned to look at him.

Somewhere in the middle of the forest, outside the city, Devlin’s car stopped in front of the huge gate and he got outside the car from the passenger seat. Yeah, he is not driving, but Lucy is. As she also knew the place, she decided to drive. Lucy also got down and looked at the gate and smiled sadly. Seeing the gate of the wolf’s lair, her bad memories started to resurface.The wolf’s lair is the part in the middle of the forest that is protected by huge walls and only Alpha and Luna can live inside this part of the forest. It was the gate she used to see from the distance with the thought of leaving this gate once, and she left completely. But, now her fate decided to take her here again. Devlin also noticed the sad expression on her face but the hint of fear on her face didn’t go unnoticed by him. Devlin went and opened the gate and looked at her. Seeing her looking at the surroundings, he guessed that she is still afraid of the other werewolves.

Lucy went inside and saw the mansion is completely clean. She guessed that it can be the work of Devlin. The majestic armchairs in the center of the hall, made her want to sit in them. But, she knew that she don’t have any right to sit in that now. Though the outside of the mansion is painted black, the interiors are only silvery-white and the furniture is not painted. She looked at the staircase on the right side of the mansion leading to the first floor. The staircase is also painted brown matching the furniture. All the while, Devlin is only looking at her expressions to know whether she likes this mansion or not. At first, she didn’t show any expression on her face, but when she saw the huge portrait of Devlin’s parents with the baby Devlin in their hands, she smiled and looked at him. “You were cute as the baby,” She said and he smiled at the response. “Come, I’ll show you around” Devlin called her and started to walk on the left side of the ma

The decreasing sunlight and increasing nightfall made Lucy shiver. As the memories started to run through her brain, she tried to stand up but only to be stopped by her mate. She looked at him and saw him showing her some photographs of her. Yeah, they both are still sitting at the same time in the garden. She raised her eyebrows asking what. Without telling her anything, he just turned that photo and showed it to her. That’s when she saw something written in that photo. She took that from him and started to read. 1st birthday – no symptoms. She read that and looked at him confusedly. She then again saw all the photos and the same thing written in those with different birthday numbers, like 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc…But, when she saw the photo of her on her 15th birthday, there is a different saying. 15th birthday – it started. She looked at that for some time and then showed it to Devlin. He looked at that and at her

“We can leave,” Devlin said and started to leave her parent’s room without saying anything after seeing that locket. He didn’t leave that locket in the cupboard but instead, he collected it with her photographs and the telescope. Not knowing what to do, Lucy also started to follow him silently ignoring the tantrums her wolf is throwing. Devlin walked fast but he maintained speed so that she can follow him and he also made sure that she is following him. They both reached the gate of the wolf’s lair and when they both came outside, Devlin immediately locked the gate using some power that Lucy don’t know about. She didn’t ask him anything nor, he is ready to tell her that. Though there are thousands of things and confusion running inside his head, the first thing in his head is to make her take a rest. When Lucy woke up the next day, she feels fresh after whatever happened yesterday. Her wolf is feeling good. The only thing that is running inside her mind is that she needs to allow her wolf to talk to her mate. She didn’t see her mate when she woke up. She came downstairs after freshening up and saw her mate watching T.V. She wondered which businessman will watch T.V. early in the morning. She went to the kitchen silently and saw that coffee is already prepared for her and placed it on the table. She took that coffee and came to the hall and sat on the couch near her mate. Devlin smiled at her and changed the channel to songs as he was watching the news. “Today looks different. What happened all of the sudden?” She asked as she can feel at peace. “I decided to give you what you deserve,” He said and she smiled. “What do I deserve?” She asked as she doesn’t know about that. “Peace,” He said and she smiled sadly in reply
