Rachel watched as the girl she assumed was Kira(The name she read in the paper) lay sprawled on the couch. Kira was not sleeping; Rachel was aware of that.The screen of her phone illuminated her oval-shaped face, and she wondered what she was doing."Mama," Her eyes flickered away from Kira's to meet her son, Jerry.The light in the room had gone dim. She didn't know how but she heard Kira snap her fingers and mutter something.
