In the heart of the packhouse, our living room was a hub of activity. Family and friends had gathered for a casual afternoon get-together. Hazel and James with their daughter Aryana, were present too.

I felt so happy and glowing now in my fifth month of pregnancy. I felt the love around me.

I recalled the day we discovered we were carrying twins. My mates were over the moon. They punched the air and exchanged high-fives, so elated. The joy that had radiated from them was so infectious they both screamed the news through the entire pack link.

Having twins was something they had always hoped for, a wish that ran deep within their blood. It was a trait that seemed to be woven into the fabric of our pack's lineage.

My attention was drawn to my daughter who was now a bubbly ball of energy at her young age. Her excitement was plain to see as she dashed around, her laughter trailing behind her like a melodic song as she played with Aryana and Tiana.
