CHAPTER 43

Later in the day, Lloyd decided to surprise Nancy by making dinner for the family. Of course, he had his two mini chefs ready for duty alongside him.

Each wearing their own aprons and chef’s hat. They refused to let anyone enter the kitchen, especially Nancy. Although they had help from one of the maids.

“You’re doing it wrong daddy, medium heat, the book says medium beat,” Lex complained, holding the cook book to his face as he corrected his father who was frying the pork chops at full heat.

Lloyd quickly regulated the knob, reducing the heat.

“Thanks Chef Lex,” He smiled and winked at Lex who replied with a small smile and a thumbs up.

They were making a dinner of chicken and chorizo ragu with rice, one of Nancy’s favorite meals. It was quite easy to make and shouldn’t take a lot of time but as the saying goes, too many cooks spoil the broth because they were already in the kitchen for over an hour and they were just beginning to cook after taking a long time to decide on
