Chapter 48

Clavier sat inside his car and waited. Someone entered his car wearing a white ghost mask. The rain started to pour in the parking lot.

“There is a problem in another realm,” Clavier said. “Two men were abducted by the Knight of Death.”

“Do we have any leads?” 

“Yes, but the Alpha’s mate is in trouble.”

When Clavier checked on Mira earlier, her memories were fuzzy. She could barely remember anything from her past life. He thought it was because of the resurrection, but he feared it might be even worse. There was a moment where Clavier caught her remembering her mate, Cohen. Suddenly, that memory vanished just like that. She could still remember every bit of her past and, of course, mostly Cohen.
