Chapter 100

Aria's POV

I came out from behind the wall where I hid and glanced at the front door, our destination. Taking a deep calming breath, I took a short look down the corridor to make sure the area was clear. Seeing that it was, I reverted my eyes back to the door and let out a deep sigh.

"I think the place is clear enough for you to go," Ma Levine muttered as she turned to me. "I made sure to bring all the maids to the other side of the mansion. The guards are still outside, but the ones guarding the gate that leads out of the compound through the garden have been sent to meet the Lycan King."

My heart raced wildly within me as Ma Levine's words repeated in my mind. I licked my dry lips and took a deep but shaky breath as I slowly stood up. I grabbed tight the pillar in front of me as my eyes counted the steps that I was going to take.
