Chapter 42
Rebecca reveled in the way Vincent's hands felt on her body. The way his lips felt against hers. She had missed the way he could make her feel so alive. She didn't even know that she had been craving him until she had him again. They fit together so perfectly their bodies moving perfectly in sync.
He kept saying her name over and over. She loved the way it sounded on his lips. If she never heard another man say her name beside him again, she would be perfectly okay with that. How she had gone so long without him near her or speaking to her, she would never know. How she was going to walk away after this was a complete mystery.
BEEP, BEEP, BEEP.
Rebecca shot up from her bed. The mixture of the beeping and her stomach turning waking her from her dream of her most recent time with Vincent. She rushed to the bathroom and released the contents of her stomach. Not that it was much she had barely eaten dinner because she hadn't felt good the night before.

Two days later Vincent was sitting in a waiting room with Rebecca bouncing his knee up and down nervously. Rebecca placed her hand on his leg to stop his bouncing."Calm down," she whispered to him. Vincent woke up the next morning with Rebecca in his arms. He felt such relief that she had agreed to move in. He planned to talk to her about which of the extra rooms she wanted to be turned into the nursery for the baby. Two days later, Rebecca was still thinking about everything Lidia said. She had held it together until they had pulled out of the driveway before she burst into tears. Vincent had placed his hand on her thigh to comfort her. He didn’t remove it the whole way and he held her hand on the elevator too. But as soon as they got into the apartment, Rebecca shook him off and walked to her old room shutting and locking the door. She spent the rest of the day in there not coming out to even eat no matter how much Vincent begged. The next day she came out but didn’t say much unless she was spoken to.
