Chapter 25

We had arrived at the sushi place and boy was I hungry, we sat at a table for four and I immediately grabbed the menu.

“Foods on me since it’s Kaia’s celebration.” Jake said proudly and Xander rolled his eyes, “I can pay my own meal thank you.” I put a palm on my forehead with a groan.

Now why does this feel like de ja vu?

“Oh free food is the best!” Allison suddenly said calling the waiter and I mouthed a ‘thank you’ to her, relieved that she butts in before a fight breaks in. We all ordered food and started eating in comfortable silence.

“I’m so excited for the school festival, you’re coming right?” Allison asked Jake surprising us all.

Jake looked at me before answering her, “of course, Kaia invited me.” She hummed in response,

“great! The more the merrier, I can’t wait to meet your sister too Kaia.”
