There's No Place Like Home

After Noah took care of me this morning, making sure to shower me carefully and put the soothing balm on my raw skin on my ass, we headed back to my home. 

I knew my mom had a donut cushion I could sit on from when she had surgery to remove her hemorrhoids. My butt was bruised and still stung. It felt similar to sunburn. As soon as the Uber driver stopped I shot out my door, needing relief from sitting on the leather seat in the SUV that picked us up from the hotel. 

Not even knocking or waiting for Noah, although I could hear him growl my name, I pushed inside calling out for my mom. 

"Right here, Holly. What's wrong? Where's Noah?"

"Nothing. He's fine. I need that donut cushion you used to have." And since she is a hoarder I know she still has it.

"Oh. Okay." She looked surprised but didn't ask questions. "Let me go grab that for you. Wait here."
