Chapter 1: Her Three Worst Nightmares

Liv's POV

STOP!

STOP!

STOP!

Had been my most used word since I turned 15 in the Darkmoon pack. It was marked the beginning of suffering when the 3 triplets sons of the Alpha returned from their Alpha camp training.

They were my three worst nightmares. Max, Ryder, and Callum.

Max had a striking shade of emerald green eyes and tousled black hair that fell effortlessly over his forehead, giving him an irresistible bad-boy charm. Alongside the tattoos he had in his arms and neck area.

Ryder also had alluring emerald green eyes just like Max, a chiseled jawline, a perfectly sculpted face, and possessed a slightly rugged charm.

Although Callum had green eyes like the rest of them, his hair was brunette unlike them. There was one word that could be used to describe Callum. Universal playboy.

He was calm and reserved, but while Max and Ryder were always busy making my life a living hell in the pack, he worried only about the next girl he was going to take to his bed that week.

Either way, they were all drop-dead gorgeous, tall with perfectly sculpted bodies. They were all 20 and the future Alphas of the pack.

Even with their good looks, they were the worst things that ever happened to me.

Max and Ryder took it upon themselves to make sure my life was a living hell. They spent their free time making sure I suffered every single hour and they always had fun doing the numerous things they did.

Callum on the other hand didn't have my time. He was reserved, and distant, but that didn't mean he liked me either.

He would stand and watch his brothers do the most horrible things to me and sometimes he would grin in amusement, even when he never took part in any of their methods.

They weren't the only ones who made my life hell in the pack. In fact, the whole pack members hated me. Being an omega was like a death sentence the very day I was born. Not only was I just an omega, but the only omega in the pack.

Since my mum died, leaving me in this cruel world, it had been a struggle for me. The shouts, punishment, and stigma were okay for me to bear, but it grew worse when the three devils came into my life.

I was 17 and the next day was my 18th birthday. Which meant all the pain and suffering were bound to end when I found my mate who would protect me from everything. I had been daydreaming about my mate since I turned 13.

A knight in shining armor, handsome, breathtaking, someone who would sweep me off my feet and take away all my sorrows.

And the most thrilling part about the next day was, it was heat season for the males in the pack, so I knew things were going to go a bit crazy.

It was a period mates desperately craved each other. The thought of it and how exciting it might be, made feel impatient

But right now, I had to endure.

So, there I was, running through the woods as fast as my legs could carry me, breathing heavily, not even thinking about stopping because I knew what was going to happen if I stopped.

"You better run because if we catch you, you know what is coming for you Liv!" I heard the distant growl behind and my heart skipped.

That was their new game. Before they did anything to me, they always gave me a heads-up, to make the game more “fun” for them.

They would always say

"You know the rules Liv. You have 5 minutes to run and hide. Make sure you get as far as you can because if we catch you, things are going to get very nasty"

My legs were failing me. I knew they were going to catch me like they always did. I needed to think fast.

Looking behind, I caught a glimpse of Ryder running towards me with something in his hands, which seemed like a.

I gasped

A gun!

My heart pounded inside my chest. I knew for a fact, since they were the future Alphas of the pack if they killed an omega, no one was going to question them

Since running didn't work for me, the only thing I could do was hide. I looked up at the tree in front of me and the only idea that came to my head was to hide in it.

It was difficult for me to climb, but the burst of adrenaline in me boosted me. I did it, curling up in one of the huge branches, hoping they wouldn’t find me.

From where I was, I watched Ryder run towards the tree with the gun and Max just behind him.

"Where the fuck did she go? I saw the bitch right here!" Max snapped, running past Ryder and the tree. Ryder did the same.

I held my chest, breathing a sigh of relief, but I realized I wasn't lucky when they started running back towards the tree.

"Her omega scent is all over this place" Ryder grunted and my heart skipped.

"She is here alright" he started sniffing the air. Then he smirked. "Liv you are getting really good at this, aren't you?" he let out, taking the gun from Ryder.

"Come out now or we'll do the finding ourselves and you don't want that to happen, do you?" Ryder's tone came out deadly and demanding.

My breathing was rapid and my whole body shook because I knew it wouldn't take long before they sniffed me out and it was going to end up really bad for me.

Max who seemed to be scouring through the place with the gun, suddenly stopped. My heart dropped when he abruptly looked up at the tree, exactly where I was, but the only thing covering me was a branch.

"The bitch is up there" he growled with a devilish grin on his face.

Ryder ran to the other side where there was no branch hiding me and then he called out. "She is really getting better Max"

"Please" I whimpered, looking at both Ryder and Max, waiting for who would strike first. Even though Max was the one with the gun Ryder could easily shift and get me down in a twinkle of an eye.

Max walked to where Ryder was and then his green eyes peered into mine,

He grinned "So brother, tell me, which limp are we blowing off first?" Max asked Ryder, pointing the gun at me.
